A useful map
Start with what is happening.
Headroom is designed to learn from real use, not from a long setup interview. An incomplete thought is enough to begin.
Keeping the thread
Keeping the thread means preserving enough context to help you return: what you were doing, why it mattered, where it stopped, what changed, what remains unresolved, and what was inferred rather than known.
Capture is a beginning, not an outcome
A captured thought is held safely. Headroom may suggest a place for it, but a suggestion is not a decision and a saved record is not proof that the real-world work happened. You choose what becomes lasting.
Unknown is allowed
Headroom does not need to fill every blank. When information is missing or an interpretation is uncertain, that uncertainty should remain visible until better evidence—or your decision—changes it.
Returning
Open your private Headroom to see the working context you last selected, what has changed, and what is waiting for your attention. Your existing work remains available even when the daily briefing has nothing new to report.
The rooms
Observatory shows grounded patterns and change. Pressure Valve holds an unfinished thought without turning it into a task. Threshold is where you review it, choose its home, and decide whether it should become lasting. Cauldron keeps creative fragments and recurring patterns near each other without claiming an answer. Map shows portfolios, projects, and work. Studio keeps tools, working sets, and methods that can travel across projects.
A useful first visit
Choose a project or piece of work, read the return view, and put one real thought into the Pressure Valve. At the Threshold, keep it or set it aside. If you keep it, Headroom can suggest a home; only your final action can bring it into the lasting record.
Account or product help
If you can sign in, use Help shape Headroom in your account. That message is saved to the existing support-review workflow. If you cannot sign in, contact the person who invited you so they can check or renew your access. Headroom does not publish a response-time promise.
Privacy and authority
Your private material is retained so continuity can persist. You keep your rights in what you submit, and Headroom’s product-level explanation does not replace its legal policies.
